Green Peaking Plants

Peaking capacity today is still provided by combustion engines with high carbon emission impact. A long duration storage from CellCube reduces the carbon footprint signaficantly. When combined with renewables a Green Peaking Plant is born.

Though conventional peaker plants can offer energy at LCOE they have relatively poor energy efficiency as well as high carbon emissions. The challenge is two-fold: In many countries such combustion engines starts to get penalized by efficiency and emission regulations.
